What if a French Impressionist view of moonlight is injected into a Cantonese one? The famous Cantonese nursery rhyme was reinterpreted as a musical collage largely based on Claude Debussy’s Clair de lune, together with fragments of musical motifs (of different origins) related with the notion of moon, melting into one dreamy lullaby. 
 
The Moonlight was premiered by Hong Kong University Students’ Union Choir in February 2017, and was subsequently performed by the Hong Kong Children’s Choir in the 2017 Tour to Australia.
 
Available in SATB or SSA choirs with piano.
